It was a dream come true

Following a successful 14-year career as a freelance copywriter, I took the leap into studio ownership.

I had spent years teaching Yoga and Pilates classes before and after work. And I knew my love for teaching was more than a passion project. So in 2009, I left my lucrative writing career and turned my teaching side-gig into a Pilates and Gyrotonic studio.

It has been a journey.

Naturally, the path was not linear. Passion and hustle only take you so far. Burnout is possible, and when you’ve invested your life savings into a new endeavor, you simply can’t fail. So you hustle a little more!

A couple of incredible business coaches turned me around. What started as a home studio evolved into a storefront location in downtown Austin, complete with a salary and studio dream team.

There are many seasons of a boutique studio business, and I know many of them intimately. I’m inspired to be a confidante for a handful of clients who seek the personal and professional rewards that are possible in our industry.

I have developed two programs that play to my operational and financial strengths as a business owner and mentor : The Aspiring Studio Program and The Seasoned Studio Program.
