About

The Studio Owner’s Circle (“The Circle”) is a small, curated community for studio owners who want a place to talk honestly about money, team, and sustainability, and be in community with peers who understand what it means to protect both the Pilates and GYROTONIC® methods—and the business.

This is not a generic business group.

It’s specifically designed for studios built on privates, small groups, and professional courses.

Who It's For

The Circle is a fit if you:

  • Own a studio offering Pilates and/or the Gyrotonic method

  • Rely primarily on private sessions, small-group classes, and professional training courses

  • Want clearer structure around pricing, payroll, owner’s pay, and team roles

  • Are ready to make decisions and implement, not just collect ideas

  • Value confidentiality, nuance, and peer support

It’s not for those still in the “someday I’ll open a studio” phase or for group-based, high-volume, big-box fitness models.

Our Focus

We stay focused on four core areas:

  • Pricing & Profit

    • Pricing for privates, semi-privates, groups, and courses

    • Understanding margins and capacity

    • Owner’s pay targets and realistic pathways to get there

  • Payroll & Team

    • Instructor pay models that protect your margins

    • Role clarity and expectations

    • When and how to adjust rates or compensation structures

  • Schedule & Capacity

    • Structuring your studio’s schedule around capacity and utilization

    • Deciding what to add, keep, or retire (classes, series, courses)

    • Integrating teacher training or special programs without destabilizing the base business

  • Operations & Policies

    • Studio policies that support your decisions (not undercut them)

    • Software and systems that make things easier, not heavier

    • Communication with clients and staff around changes

How it Runs

The Circle runs in 3-month, quarterly cohorts so there’s enough time to decide, implement, and adjust.

Each month includes:

Monthly Money Lab (90 minutes) : We dig into the numbers (hot-seat style), so you can clearly see:

  • What’s working and what isn’t

  • Where the money is leaking

  • 1–3 specific changes to test in the next month

Monthly Operations & Team Roundtable (75–90 minutes) : A practical, scenario-based call focused on:

  • Schedule, capacity, and calendar decisions

  • Team dynamics and compensation questions

  • Policy and communication tweaks to support your model

Private Group Chat (light, focused support) : A private group space in Voxer where you can:

  • Drop quick questions

  • Share decisions and get feedback

  • Check in during weekly “office hour” windows when I’m active in the chat

End of Quarter, 1:1 Check-In : An individual check-in to:

  • Review key numbers and priorities

  • Choose a focus for the next 90 days

  • Make sure The Circle is supporting your studio’s current season

Commitment

Length

  • Initial commitment: 3 months

Time

  • Two group calls per month (~3 hours total)

  • Community engagement in the group chat

  • Optional end-of-quarter 1:1s

Investment

  • $275/month for 3 months, with the option to renew at the same rate as long as you remain active in The Circle

Why Invite Only?

The value of The Circle comes from:

  • Real numbers and honest conversations

  • Enough shared context that advice actually applies

  • Being in community with other studio owners navigating similar realities

For that reason, each cohort is intentionally curated.

I consider your studio model, stage of business, and your readiness to engage before extending an invitation, so you land in the room that’s actually the right fit—not just any open spot.
